Barry Abrams Joins TOC Board
Barry Abrams has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California effective May 26, 2006. Abrams will serve as a Trainer/Owner board member for a one-year term.
“We are pleased to welcome Barry Abrams, a long-time trainer and enthusiastic owner, to the Board,” said TOC Chairman Alan Landsburg. “He will be a valuable addition because of his passion for the rules and regulations under which racing operates."

“As well as being very proactive, Barry has a driving enthusiasm for racing and is great communicator,” said TOC owner/trainer board member Phil Oviedo. “In particular, his ability to communicate the issues to the average guy on the backside will make him a great addition to the TOC board.”
“The entire industry will benefit from Barry’s commitment to serve on the TOC board,” said TOC president, Drew J. Couto. “And, in light of the fact that Barry is already quite busy running a major racing stable, we certainly appreciate his dedication and willingness to help.”
