“An In-Depth Look at the Racing Office”
Arcadia, CA (Jan. 24, 2009) – Current and prospective racehorse owners are invited to take an in-depth look at the operations of a track’s Racing Office at a FREE seminar hosted by Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC). The seminar will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 9:00 a.m. at both Santa Anita Racetrack and Golden Gate Fields.
Speakers at Santa Anita Racetrack will include Santa Anita Director of Racing, Mike Harlow, Del Mar Director of Racing, Tom Robbins, TOC President, Drew J. Couto, and jockey agent Ron Ebanks. Speakers at Golden Gate Fields will include General Manager, Robert Hartman, California Fairs Racing Secretary, Tom "Bomber" Doutrich, and TOC Vice Chair Tom Bachman.
The speaker panels at both locations will be discussing entries, condition books, extra races, stakes schedules, purses, stall applications, workout and training schedules, track maintenance, and the day-to-day operations of the racing office. Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
