TOC Owners Challenge! Fast Facts
The TOC Owners Challenge is a handicapping contest for TOC members only. The Owners Challenge is a non-wagering contest of skill that will take place on August 22, 2009 at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Below you will find some Fast Facts to assist you in answering some of the basic questions surrounding the contest. For complete details please refer to our Official Rules and Regulations.
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2009 Location: Time: Contest begins at first post Eligibility: Licensed TOC members only, capped at 150 participants (Must be licensed on or before June 1, 2009) Cost: Free to enter, one entry per TOC member, must be present to participate. Format: $2 mythical Win/Place on one horse in each live race from Scoring: Winners will be determined by the total combined mythical mutuels of all contest races capped at 20-1 for win and 10-1 for place. Prizes: The top two (2) finishers qualify as part of "Team TOC" and will participate in the 2010 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championships in
Online Registration for the TOC Owners Challenge has closed. Walk up registration will be available on Saturday, August 22, 2009 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Registration and the contest will be held in the Joe Burnham Lounge on the fourth floor, Stretch Run side at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. A Northern California Owners Challenge will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Golden Gate Fields. The top (one) finisher at Golden Gate Fields will complete "Team TOC". Participants are eligible to compete in both contests. Registration for the Northern California contest will begin September 1, 2009. PLEASE NOTE: The TOC Owners Challenge is NOT part of the NHC Tour and participants will not earn NHC Points. |
